On Thursday 2 November 2006 the Finnish experimental drummer and electronica producer Vladislav Delay performed at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam. Delay, whose real name is Sasu Ripatti, has performed amongst others at Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou and Sonar Festival. Born in 1976 in Oulu, he moved to Berlin when he saw no future for himself as a musician in Finland. For more than 10 years he has been making electronic music inspired by jazz and dub (he once lived in Jamaica).
