Prescient dubstep

It is not a secret I am a huge admirer of the Bristol pioneers of the early hardcore continuum Smith & Mighty, but Rob Smith just sent me a video of his work from 1986, and it is prototypical dubstep as we know it now.

Having released music under Smith & Mighty and More Rockers, Smith now contributes to the dubstep movement as RSD. Smith played at the one year anniversary of Amsterdam’s dubstep night Sonic Warfare last December, and returned to play at the Viral Radio Bash in 11. We look forward to seeing him back in Amsterdam soon.
