Flying Lotus will return in November (but not to the Bimhuis)

After his bold display at the Bimhuis during the Beat Dimensions episode with fellow beatmaker Hudson Mohawke in May, Steven ‘Flying Lotus‘ Ellison will return to Amsterdam to play at the Paradiso on 29 November.

FlyLo released his debut album ‘Los Angeles‘ on WARP in July, to worldwide critical acclaim. His sound resembles the Dilla-aesthetic of organic drum patterns, upgraded with a sonic cloud of clear electronica and video game sound effects. Ellison is a principal exponent of a new breed of producers that echo early arcade game music, carefully engineered hip hop, and recent dubstep bass affection. Other prominent figures of this generation are Rustie, Hudson Mohawke, Dimlite, Dorian Concept, Samiyam and Cinnaman.

Flying Lotus will perform in the small room of the Paradiso. This will most likely be a Beat Dimensions night. Cinnaman will break some beats too.
