After Flying Lotus and Hudson Mohawke, Dimlite, Mike Slott and Take

There are few things more exciting to unveil than a Beat Dimensions night at the Bimhuis after the stellar first edition with the courteous cowboy Flying Lotus and the hefty hyperdrummer Hudson Mohawke. That one was a breakthrough for everyone connected to this innovative electronic music movement in Amsterdam, but also one for the Bimhuis from my perspective (that is the one that tries to inject tiny bits of new electronica into this incredible domain of godlike musicians).

The second installment will take place on Friday 24 October during the annual Amsterdam Dance Event (see previous related posts). Yuri and I have invited composers and beat makers Dimlite (whom I interviewed here in March), Mike Slott and Take to take over from FlyLo and HudMo. Aardvarck and Cinnaman will wreck the night in the bar, but this should go without saying.
